This weekend Yayoi and I travelled to Alresford in Hampshire to see my best friend, his lovely wife and my godson, as well as all the old gang from Desborough in Maidenhead and their partners, for a barbeque – our first one of the summer!
Amazing how much my godson had grown. He’s turned into quite a little character! And he loves cameras!
Now all living in different parts of the country, it was great to meet up and see everyone again. Yayoi and I have not seen everyone since our wedding party in Porthkerry, Wales, back in February.
What a beautiful village Alresford is! Famous for watercress – they even hold a Watercress Festival each year! - Alresford has beautiful little lanes, waterways, and shops to wander around for hours. Well worth a daytrip or a break for lunch on the way down to South-west England. We were hoping to go for a walk on the sunday, but once again the weather in England put pay to that idea. Maybe next time!
Thanks all for a great time! See you all again soon!

Thanks to the hosts for a great day and barbecue!
Nice to meet Yayoi properly.
PS. Did anyone ever find the ball that got spooned over the hedge? Bkkaaarrrk.

Yup. The ball came back. It was there in the morning when we were having bacon rolls!
Spooned. Twice!
